Asheboro, NC – March 8, 2024 – Downtown Asheboro Inc. (DAI) and the City of Asheboro announce the 2024 Summer Concert Series lineup, with nine concerts held in Bicentennial Park from May 19 through September 8.
The Rock’n the Park Concert Series will be held on Friday nights, once a month on May 31, June 28, July 12, and August 23 starting at 6:30pm. The concert series will feature On the Border, The Ultimate Eagles Tribute Band (May 31), Larger Than Life, The Ultimate Boy Band Tribute (June 28), Doug Brewin’s Tribute to Alan Jackson (July 12), and Cassette Rewind, The Ultimate 80’s Tribute Experience (August 23).
“We couldn’t be more excited for this year’s schedule of tribute acts for the Friday Night Concert Series. We have planned a great lineup covering everything from 70s rock, 80s pop, 90s country, and even early 2000s hits,” Addie Corder, Executive Director of DAI said.
The Friday Night Concert Series joins the successful City of Asheboro Summer Concert Series, with concerts held on select Sunday nights May through September, starting at 6:00pm. The concert series will feature BlackWater Band (May 19), North Tower (June 9), Special Occasion Band (July 21), EnVision (August 11), and too MUCH SyLviA (September 8).
“Both concert series would not be possible without the support of the community, our generous sponsors, and the growing number of attendees. We look forward to our best concert series yet,” said Corder.
